The ‘Buddhist Lack of Faith’, seeks to define faith in religion, its influence therein, and why the core principles Buddhism do not require faith as a part of its identity.
The Invictus Buddhist Project was created by Bhante Rahula to eliminate cultural influences and ritual from the true teachings of the Buddha. After practicing Buddhism for 30 years, Bhante finally decided to take robes in 2015. Upon hearing the William Ernest Henley poem INVICTUS for the first time, he decided to pursue an understanding of Buddhism for the western mind. He has developed a practice which stresses introspection, historical contemplation, investigation and public outreach. Currently a resident Monk at the A Di Da Buddhist Temple in Houston, Bhante gives lectures in meditation, Buddhism and offers counseling from a Buddhist prospective.
